The winds of November don’t rush, they whisper.
They move through the trees, across the fields, and into our hearts, guiding us gently toward stillness. As the air cools and the light begins to soften, nature reminds us to pause—to turn inward and listen.
It’s in this movement between seasons that we often rediscover gratitude.
Not as something we have to reach for, but as something that finds us—quietly, like the wind—when we slow down enough to feel it.
Beyond the Thank-You List
It’s easy to think of gratitude as something we do, a quick list before bed, a moment of appreciation at the dinner table. And while those are beautiful, gratitude in its truest form is quieter. It’s less about doing and more about being.
It’s in the way sunlight filters through the trees on a cool morning.
In the sound of laughter you weren’t expecting.
In that deep exhale after a long day when you finally let go.
Gratitude lives in the body as warmth, peace, and expansion. It reminds us that even in challenge, there is beauty, and that we are supported in ways we can’t always see.
Reiki and the Energy of Appreciation
When I work with Reiki, I often feel that same current of gratitude flowing beneath the surface. Reiki teaches us that love and appreciation are healing energies—they bring harmony to our physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies.
In Reiki sessions, people sometimes describe feeling a sense of being held or deeply at peace. That’s gratitude in motion, the heart remembering its natural state of openness. When we focus on gratitude, we align ourselves with that frequency of love, creating space for healing and renewal.
A Simple Gratitude Practice
This month, I invite you to explore gratitude as energy rather than words.
✨ Pause. Close your eyes and take a slow breath.
✨ Notice. What around you feels supportive right now? A person? A sound? The ground beneath you?
✨ Feel. Let appreciation rise, not from your head, but from your heart. Let it fill your chest, soften your shoulders, and ripple through your body.
You don’t need to name it. Just feel it. That’s enough.
Gratitude as a Way of Being
As we move through November, may you find gratitude not only in moments of joy but also in the spaces between, where stillness lives, and where peace begins to take root.
And may each breath remind you: gratitude doesn’t ask for more; it simply invites you to see what’s already here. 🌿
With love and quiet appreciation,
Renee
